Midnight was fully aware that her sister was greeting a new demon student, yet she never saw the truth in the disguise that had been worn. The minute she sensed purple sand, she decided she needed to pay attention to Twilight instead of the copies she made. She walked forward and gasped when she saw her sister, who was now Crash, Rocky’s evil servant.

“Goodness! What happened to you Twilight!?” Midnight asked astonished.

“Oh, dear sister, how long you have been, copying papers in the doohickey!” Crash dramatically replied.

“I cannot bear myself without my dear sister!”  Midnight instantly knew this was not her sister, for Twilight never was dramatic nor said “dear sister”.

“Do you mean copier,” Midnight asked, “ and are you chewing GUM?”

“No!” Crash snapped, spitting out her gum which disappeared into the cement.

Why d’ya ask? You know I never chew gum.”

“No reason!” Midnight quivered. “Can we go home now? I thought we were going to talk about Dawn and how she turned into Rocky.” Her purple eyes went wide when this was said, for she knew that Rocky was her leader. Crash replied with a fake smile and said,

“ Let's go home and watch some TV. Okay?”

“We don't have a TV, and I thought you cared more about Dawn.” Midnight said sternly.

“Silence fool! You should respect mistress Rocky for who she is, now that she has taken over the horrid goddess form Dawn, you keep mentioning!!!!” Snarled Crash, who had now lost her patience and was just about ready to lose it again. She looked at Midnight, who began trembling with tears streaming down her pale cheeks. Crash realized what she just said and plastered a fake smile once more on her face.

“Now, shall we go home to rest and not talk about your silly little Dawn?” A gentle nod was given by Midnight, who said no more, for she didn’t want to embrace the fury of the demon.                                                                          **********************
Rocky and Crumble were back in Dawn’s room, hatching a plan to cure the night god. Crumble thought that it was to cure Dusk, for he was trapped in a tube with his energy being drained. The plan was actually to kill Dusk, by draining his powers so Rocky would be the most powerful being in the world. After Rocky and Crumble disappeared from Crash, Rocky trapped the king and took the blame on  Midnight and Twilight. Crumble agreed that turning Twilight to Crash would make both sisters slow down, and never kill Dusk. The only thing Crumble never realized, was that she would be killing Dusk. So, the days went by, with Crumble imagining Dusk cured, Midnight and Twilight were gone, and she and Rocky honoured by Obsidian.

“Crumble, go to the market to find more potions that might cure Dusk,” Rocky said busily.

“We need to finish the cure on Demon star day!”  Crumble nodded and exploded into a thousand pieces of sand, as she went to the market.

“We only have 2 more days until the Demonstar comes, and this potion is bound to be ready, for it will kill the god, not cure him!” Muttered Rocky under her breath. She smiled mischievously to herself, and went back to work, creating the deadly potion.
Midnight jolted upward with a start. Her long, Black hair was in a jumble, and her brown eyes were wide. She was leaning forward in the bed she and Twilight share. Shuddering and panting, Midnight woke her twin sister, Twilight, with a shaky push.

“What is it now?!” Her sister asked, only half-awake.

“Goddesses need their beauty rest too!”  Just like that, she went back to sleep.

“ I-I had a vision!l Midnight trembled. “ D-D-Dawn was in it! Something bad happened to her!”

This made her sister sit up forward.  Her eyes, the same as Midnight’s, were wide with shock.  “What happened to her?” Twilight instantly replied.

“ I don’t know!” All I saw was Dawn screaming and groaning, then,” She stopped herself before she said any more.

“Then what.” Her sister nervously asked.  Midnight squeaked in a small voice.

“ Then she disappeared in a flash of purple smoke.”  Twilight absorbed this information, then turned sharply at her sister. She had the same look as Midnight. Wonder and Shock.

“We both know what happened,” Twilight said into the silence.  Her younger sister nodded, then peered into the small, glass window in their room.

 “Morning.” She whispered to herself.

“ Dawn’s part. Where is she?” Twilight startled her thoughts, and said,

“ Let’s get ready for school, then talk about this when we come back home.”  Both quickly got dressed and headed for school. Twilight noticed her sister look back to the house. She placed her hand around her sister’s neck, and said,

“ Come. I’ll walk you to class.”  This made her sister smile bright. Twilight smiled back and started walking, with her sister’s hand in hers.

 *******************
“I’ll meet you at the pavilion on the playground. Mrs Night ling wants me to help her copy papers for the Element Fair." Midnight quickly said.

“Okay,” Twilight replied.  “Copy some FUN!”  Both laughed, then departed different ways. At the pavilion, Twilight noticed 2 girls, both her age, playing a very odd game. The prettier one was leading, while the other was writing. As of count godliness, it was her duty to greet new students, goddess and demon.

“Merry Christmas!” Twilight said merrily.  The pretty girl turned around and plastered a big fat fake smile on her face.

“Hello. I’m Rocklandia.” This is my fellow friend, Crumblie. ” Rocklandia explained sweetly.

“ Nice to meet you,” Twilight answered, trying to be merry.  The looks of this girl gave her a very horrible feeling. Twilight decided to change the subject, for it was rather awkward standing in front of the school talking to someone new.

 “What game are you playing?”

“Demon rules the world,” Rocklandia replied.

“Say, let me sing a song for you!”

“Okay?” Twilight answered nervously.  Rocklandia whispered something to Crumblie, who nodded and pulled out a silver flute, from her dress, with purple dragons swirling down both sides. She began to play a tune, which seemed more like a lullaby.

“Do you want to be, a girl as pretty as me? Do you want, to be, a Demon like me? Then listen to this song, and be a good girl. Fall under my spell, and become like me. Selfish, evil, greedy, mean. Become Crash, and help Crumble and me. The name’s Rocky, and heel to me!” Rocklandia finished the song and transformed into her true self, Rocky.  Crumble followed, and smiled happily.

“Look! Little Miss Twilight is under your BEAUTIFUL song!”  This was true, for Twilight was fading into a purple sand, then reforming into a different shape.

“ The name’s Crash!” A snappy voice said.  The sand faded, and a girl wearing, a Violet dress, purple hair with a black streak, and a necklace hanging down her neck with the mark of evil appeared. Crash was even, chewing a dark coloured gum and had a very sassy look.

“Dear Crash. Will you help us save our beloved king?” There were fake tears dripping down Rocky’s cheeks, as she acted to be sad.

“Duh!!! Isn’t that the same reason why I was called hear.” Snapped Crash.  Rocky smiled, then saw Midnight walking to them.

“Look, here is your sister, heading this way. Act like your non-evil self, and spy on her life. ” Crash smiled and turned to Midnight.

“Look out little sis’. I’m coming.” She said to herself.

Dawn walked slowly to the hourglass room. Her silver robe dragged down behind her on every step. Her Golden Tiara was sliding down her wavy dandelion hair. As she adjusted it, she stared at the golden, orange Sun on her Tiara. The sun represented Dawn, for she was the Goddess of Day, and her brother, Dusk, was the God of Night. She walked closer to the room and met Sun Rise, the Mystical Prophecer, waiting for her. Sun Rise bowed gently, with her light blue robe falling at her feet. Hernbrownwn hair was in a small bun, holding up a crown which had the same Sun, as Dawn, except it was representing the sun rising, and the moon setting.

“ Dawn, Dusk is waiting for you in the hourglass room. He needs to see you right away. He has urgent business to discuss.” Sun Rise replied.

“Thank you,” Dawn said, looking straight ahead. She walked towards the big gates, which opened magically. Dusk was pacing through the room with his hourglass in his hand. His dark blue robe with gold lining was being dragged roughly behind him. As he heard the gates open,  he looked up, to see Dawn walking towards him calmly. His brown eyes were full of anguish, as he stepped down the stairs, and walked quickly towards Dawn.

“ You're late.”  Said Dusk angrily. He showed her the hourglass which he was holding, showing the amount of time Dawn took. Dawn replied, by turning to the big hourglass,

“ I am not late, just merely on time.” Dusk was furious with what he heard. He wanted to shout at her but instead calmly replied,

“ Let us forget about now, and head on to the day.” Dawn smiled and nodded. They both disappeared in a flash of golden dust and began to start the day.
                                 ************
Dawn headed to her room.  She changed into a pearl white robe with golden lining and started writing a letter to Midnight and Twilight, the sisters of the night. She was busy writing, as she never noticed  Obsidian, approach her. Obsidian was wearing a dark black robe, with a lining of indigo. She transformed into a puddle of goo and sent a piece to fly into Dawn’s hair. The piece of goo flew and made Dawn collapse. Dawn began to groan and transformed. Obsidian chuckled maniacally and faded away.

“Ahhhh!!!!!!!” Dawn screamed. Her hair turned purple, with a streak of black, running through the side. Her dress became the same shade as her hair, and her tiara changed forms. The bright sun was gone, and the replacement was a dark triangle, with a stone in the middle, and a line going straight through the stone. This was the sign of the evil force of demons. A snake like a bracelet was laced on both of her hands. Her shoes became crossed, like ballet slippers, and were a very horrible shade of violet. Dawn opened her eyes and smiled evilly. Crystal, the royal advisor,  who was once Dawn and Dusk's cousin,  then cursed, entered the room, and dropped the glass of water she had brought for Dawn. Hew blue eyes trembled with fear and her hands shook. Dawn turned around to the very surprised Crystal.

“Y-Y-You,” She stammered.

“ Dawn, what happened to you?”

“Oh I’m not Dawn, I’m Rocky,  Queen of the  Netherworld.” Rocky sweetly said. Crystal raced to alert Dusk, but Rocky froze Crystal in her tracks.

“ Where are you going?  Your job is still not finished." She said. Rocky turned Crystal from a view, where she could see. Rocky held a peace sign near her chest, and said,

“ Let this girl become mine, a servant of which I will trick,  and to which I will use.” Crystal started to freeze up and glow black. Her iceberg around her burst open. She was now wearing an obsidian shade robe, purple shoes and, the same demon mark replacing her sun. She turned to Rocky and said,

“ Hello Rocky, I am Crumble, and I will be at your aid.” Rocky smiled. She turned around and gestured for Crumble to follow. Crumble did as told. She couldn’t wait to plan many troublesome ideas with Rocky. She smiled to herself just thinking about it.

Monday,Tuesday, and Wednesday, went by. Still, no sign, except for one. I was shy to ask, though I should have gotten it 3 days ago. Shashwat had it. I thought that I would be the second, and I was right, though I wasn’t the only one getting it. He got it to, and got more, “ Congratulations” or “ Nice going” than me. Nobody recognized me that day. Only my mom, Mrs. TenEyck, and my dad congratulated me. My friends saw that I got it but, didn’t bother to ask. That day was exciting for me, though it was also sad.  Thursday, November 30th 2017, morning, school: I walked down the hall briskly. “I have to get there early.” I pondered. Unloading as quick as I could, I retrieved my supplies, and headed to my math teacher’s room. Shashwat had gotten there earlier, and was doing Think Through math on his Chromebook. I did the same until the 5th graders came in. In case you don’t know, I do 5th grade math though, I am in 4th grade and, I am the only girl doing it, along with 5 other boys, Sam, Jacob, Noah,Shashwat, and Ben. Mrs. TenEyck was our math teacher. In TTM for 5th grade, you get a lanyard if you have over 30 lessons, and stamps for certain rewards, when you pass that many lessons. I had done 52 5th grade lessons, and 34 4th grade ones. Yesterday, Mrs TenEyck told me that I could remind her about it. Today, here I was, eager for my lanyard, and ready to remind Mrs TenEyck. Waiting for the perfect moment, after problem solving, I told Mrs. TenEyck about her reminder. Sam, came up to me, noticing that Mrs TenEyck was getting my lanyard, and said that he also was ready for his. I was shocked. Now there would be 3 of us! I only thought that only 2 of us would start then the rest would catch up. I stopped thinking about this, right before Mrs. TenEyck announced that me and Sam got the lanyards. Everybody cheered and clapped, but not for me, not really, they cheered for Sam. Only Mrs. TenEyck clapped in that moment. I felt depressed. I worked really hard throughout Thanksgiving break, just to please my dad and, too show him that I am smart ๐Ÿ˜‹๐Ÿค”, while everybody cheers for Sam, who spent his break doing video games and baseball or something.⚾️๐ŸŽฎ I decided to let that go and just think about what is happening in the present, not the past. It was time for us 4th grade math kids to leave for art class. As my friend, Miranda, came into the room, with the rest of my class, I showed her my lanyard with a proud smile. Her response was, “ Oh, cool lanyard,” and walked to her table, without even asking what it was for. I felt angrier than the first time. I guess that none of my friends thought that I was important anymore, as a friend. As art class begun, I forgot about everything and decided to have a better day.  Though Miranda didn’t care about my lanyard, I know that she will forever be a friend. No matter how many times she is angry with me, or if she doesn't like me anymore. This goes to all the other kids who did not care about my lanyard, they will always be my classmates, no matter what. Nothing will change this.
The day before Thanksgiving break ideas for draft.
  1. Awards
  2. Booklets
  3. Thanksgiving play
  4. True Blue lunch
Draft: The day before thanksgiving break had many fun activities to talk about. Awards came first in the day. finding out who was top dog was fun. The next activity was making thanksgiving booklets. The purpose was to, write down what we are thankful for. This activity expressed our emotions about thankfulness. After that we had a mini thanksgiving play which, was about the history of thanksgiving. I played one important character whose name I forgot. After that,  we had true blue lunch. This is where you get to have an outdoor lunch, only if you don’t get a minor during that six weeks. that day was fun. I hope that the rest of 4th grade will be as exciting as that day.  * The published piece is the one which you should read. The draft is just an example to you on how I started this!*
Published piece: Many splendid activities happened before Thanksgiving break started. The very first thing that happened was, making Thanksgiving booklets. The purpose to make these were for, us to write down what we were thankful for. We stopped right before the parents came in for our Awards ceremony. Certificate after certificate, the ceremony was over. Before lunch came, my teacher suggested that we make a class play about Thanksgiving. 4 kids were speakers, 5-6 were important characters including myself, and the rest of the girls were pilgrims while the boys were Native Americans. Just after we practiced a second time, it was time for lunch. At the end of every six weeks, we have true blue recess. This is where we eat lunch outside and have  extra recess time. I had ordered a lunch from the cafeteria, and my trash went flying as I ate. Who knew such a small breeze could do that?! After I was finished, I played with my best friend, Advaita. We played the game, Don’t touch the ground,” until recess was over. We headed back to class where we continued practicing the play, until the bell rang to go home.b That day was very exciting and I hope that the rest of he school year is the same. Maybe next year, the same will happen except, it will be different.
The little sun was born on a hot sunny day. She was told about a sunset and waited for her first one. The time came until, she found out that she could not set! She had tried 1 million and 2 times. Centuries, decades, years, months, weeks, days, hours, minutes, and seconds went by but still could not! She was the newest sun which could not set! “ Would I ever set?!” She pondered continuously. Her starry bright family told her not to give up on setting.  The little star tried and tried until she lost hope. One day, she met a friend who gave her advice on how to set. This friend was different and had seen many sun set. She told the sun about a legend of a kind star who could help. The sun told her parents, who believed this was the best option for their daughter. The sun set out to find this legendary star. She found the secret layer up in the Himalaya mountains. She stepped up the stones and saw a vision gleaming in front of her. The legendary star asked why the little one was here. The sun replied only to see the vision disappear. Thinking that she came here for nothing, the gates emerged open to a very surprised sun. The sun walked into the legendary star’s home. Together they talked about the sun’s problem while sipping Moon star tea. The little sun found out that she had a disease that was caused of star dust and black hole dust.  The legendary star had a cure and told the sun to drink it. They both stepped outside, into the lonely world waiting for their sun. The sun started to complain that she did not set until, she felt as she was melting. She actually was setting! What a glorious moment that was! She knew that she was able to set from that forward on. Being the next generation of her family and being able to set, were the the 2 things which made her happy.
It all started when my awesome 4th grade teacher, Ms. Van, told us how each class was doing a project, on a different Chris Van Allsburg book. This made me sit up higher in my chair.  I started pondering on ideas. She told us that we were going to choose an icon and do a video or anything listed on that particular icon. She also told us that we would be doing this with our table groups. I was so excited to start this project, I nearly jumped off my seat! As we got together, me and my group questioned which one we could do. I reviewed the paper and rested my eyes on “ Unanswered Questions” reading the info below. I remembered something from GATES that hit my brain as I read. I explained my idea to my group quickly as they were still deciding what to do. My fellow GATES partner and best friend, Sofia Kawosa, remarked on how my idea would be perfect for the project. My idea was simple. We create a pretend interview about an unanswered questions show with, 2 clients, 1 director, 1 assistant director, 1 asker and 1 assistant asker. We all eventually started arguing on who was the asker. Luckily, I always come prepared to school! I had an empty container which held everyones number. Our teacher picked 2 numbers. The first to be the asker and the second to be the assistant.  Turns out, I was the asker and my BFF Sofia, was my assistant.  I jotted some quick notes down in my mini notebook and helped with the unanswered questions. Everything was set except that we KEPT MESSING UP!!!!! Sam, our director, kept his cool during each mistake and  I thank him for that. Henry, our assistant director, did an awesomee job when Sam was sick. Sofia, helped  me through the video and was an amazing friend. Riley and Sophia T., were amazing clients who had amazing questions. Finally, after about 20 scenes, we made an awesome video that was perfect. I would like to really thank all my table mates who helped me through this! Tough we all got upset at each other, we did a pretty amazing job! Oh! Let me tell you my flash back form GATES I had! We were asked to make a video, poster or anything about our personality. A group of oranges, a color personality,  did an interview, like we did, and I though that it was a brilliant and fun idea to make one. This idea sparked my Gates and table mate friends, to agree with the idea. This interview was because that orange group, and I would like to thank them as well for the inspiration!
Who was Malala Yousafzai? What did she do? This is the story of how a normal Pushton girl changed the world for kids around the world. If you, dear reader, keep reading, then I will tell you a summary of Malala. Malala was a Pushton school girl who loved to study. When the Taliban took over her hometown, they made an announcement that, women cannot have and education like men do. Malala however, did not follow this rule. She stood up for her rights with her classmates behind her and done many interviews about women’s right for education. Malala wanted to help all women have an education after, realizing the challenge her mother has every day, without one. Malala had refused to be silenced until she was shot with 2 of her friends. She was sent to the hospital but later needed to be sent to a new place called, Birmingham, England. There she was cared for and was recovering. Malala’s family moved to Birmingham and helped her through the medical pain. Malala’s birthday came up and was invited to speak with the United Nations. She told them how she wanted all kids, not just women, to have an education. She inspired people to help kids get an education, after realizing how many kids don’t have one. Malala soon became, an International Icon, for kid’s education. She also the youngest person, to receive the Noble Peace Prize. Malala changed the world with such a noble act. Every time you go to school, please say thank you to Malala. She gave you the chance to go to school and have an education. Malala is a courageous, brave, smart, and kind girl who changed the world. Without her, we wouldn’t be able to go to school or, only men would be able too! We should always be thankful for what we have and in this case, we should be thankful for our education!
Every year in Diwali, we put up the lights and make delicious sweets. This year, I got involved in  the fun by helping. Diwali is more than just putting up lights and making sweets, it is about having the time to celebrate it with your family. I love Diwali for many reasons and each reason has a story to tell. Diwali is the festival of lights, so that is why we put up lights. ๐ŸŽ†๐ŸŽ‡  We make special sweets for our gods to honor them. The best thing about Diwali is getting presents. Every year, you can ask god for a present you want and you will get it. The present can be anything. Toys, supplies, clothing and even books. This year, I got project Mc2 experiments. I got a perfume maker and H2O nail set. I also got a, Malala and, Girls who changed the world book which, I loved so much! I made a beautiful Vanilla smelling perfume and got to test the H2O nails! The nail kit comes with fake nails that you have to use if you want to do the experiment. ☹️๐Ÿ˜ซ๐Ÿ‘ฉ๐Ÿฝ‍๐Ÿ”ฌ I made my own sweets with my mom for Diwali! We gave some sweets to my amazing teacher, Ms. Van as a gift!!!  I have to say, India makes the best sweets!!! My friend Stella was really nice to bring me a Diwali present though, she doesn’t celebrate it! In return, we brought homemade and brought from India, sweets to her. I helped my dad put up lights upstairs and also,  helped with putting up decorations. We made them by ourselves! They looked so beautiful when we put them up! They really tied the house together making it look like, Diwali was here!  Diwali was so fun this year! I think, this Diwali is the best yet!! Diwali is a festival to share with our family and friends! The lights and sweets aren’t just what make up Diwali, it is about who you share it with! I enjoy Diwali for many things but, I will always enjoy it with my family and more!
If you look around in a art museum or an art studio, you can see beautiful pieces of artwork made by talented artists. If you have ever seen the Mona Lisa, then you should realize that she has a mysterious smile on her face. Leonardo da Vinci made the painting this way but, none know why. Many pieces of art are mysterious or warming, creepy or delightful, and wacky or charming. I love doing art with the welcoming pleasure of  creativity rushing in my body. I love doing art and I'll tell you why.   Why do you think these artists made these paintings? Did they make them just for fun? Did they do this just to sell it and become rich? The correct answer in none of these. Artists use their CREATIVITY to paint these paintings. Some artists didn't become famous because of a painting. Leonardo da Vinci became famous because of his paintings AND his inventions. I love doing art because of the creativity and inspirations I get. I get my inspirations from my friends, the videos I watch on Netflix, things around me and much more! Another reason I love doing art is about the way you can use different materials to color your design or picture. Whenever I draw, I use marker to border the design and then use crayon or colored pencil to shade it in the inside. You can make different pieces of art and there is no right or wrong way to make one. All you need is an inspiration and some creativity. Art inspires me to try something new. If I went a whole day without doing art, then I would go nuts.    If creativity comes to you, you should use it. That creativity is actually a seed and when you start drawing it out, then you get an inspiration. That seed starts to grown until it has grown into a beautiful tree. When it is fully grown, your piece of art will be complete to show your creativity. Art is the best way to show your creativity in any way. If you have an inspiration, don't wait. That inspiration is the key to a masterpiece that shines you all over. Here are some of my inspirations that I drew. They may be difficult to see because of the shade. ๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜ฌ

I have never been to a better school than Samuel Beck Elementary. My school is always trying to make the years even more exciting than the last! So many students love going to Beck for many reasons! If I had to move to another school, I would beg to go back to Beck. Everything about Beck is amazing! All the students that I know LOVE it there!   I love Beck because of the exciting activities we have each year! Bulldog Blitz, Camp Blue bonnet, Battle of the Books, and U.I.L. are the very few events that happen in Beck. The teachers always plan the events in a way we enjoy it and want to do it again. Our amazing principal, Mr. Conklin or Mr. Beck, always arranges new activities for us! He is always working around the school so we all have fun! Bulldog Blitz was just yesterday! I had so much fun with my friends and teachers!! We had an outdoor event with face paint, bouncy houses, a unique obstacle course and much more! The other reason I love Beck is the field trips. Each grade level has the most amazing field trips! When I was in second grade, my most favorite field trip was going to Gaylord Texan Ice. I had a blast! My class and I saw amazing ice sculptures. Some were shaped to show kids from around the world! We saw how people actually carve ice sculptures and also got to see how people around the world celebrate their holidays!! In third grade, we went to a farmyard and got to see an environment of animals. We didn't actually see an environment, we saw how the environment works and learned so much about rodents, flowers and horses!!! I love animals and I just loved that field trip! I just started 4th grade so I haven't been to a field trip yet. That doesn't matter because I still will be able to go on a field trip this year! I just have to wait so I can find out where we are going this year!    Even though I have been to  may schools in my life, I would want to go to Beck more. If any kid was looking for a new school, I would totally recommend Beck! I know that they would enjoy the special events and field trips each year like I do! I hope that many more kids will enjoy Beck so, they have an experience of fun just like I did in my years there!
I hate my parents and love them too. I really do not know why I do but, I just do! I am going to give five reasons why I hate and love my parents.  Why I hate my parents:
  1. They take everything too seriously which annoys me
  2.  They always fuss and want everything to be too perfect
  3. They almost never get proud for something I did myself
  4. They want me to be perfect and stress me out even though I am trying
  5. They always do something wrong in a way that I don't feel comfortable doing making me frustrated
These are all the five reasons for why I hate my parents.
Here are five reasons of why I love my parents

  1. They are kind
  2. They help me be strong
  3. They love me
  4. They take care of me each day
  5. They make sure I am okay each day
Even though I have more caring thoughts about my parents, I actually don't like them in the inside. They are sweet and kind to me each and every day that I truly love them. Though sometimes, I hate my parents. The five reasons that I gave you should have one which is the problem. Even if I hate my parents a lot or love them, they will always be my parents.๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ฃ

We had a family  of birds who have lived just outside our house. They weren't living in a tree, they were living on a small dry portion on our house. We didn't know why or what was happening at first then we realized something exciting.

When we found twigs and sticks on our doorstep, we checked to see why they were there. Sure enough there was a bird sitting on top of our window railing over our door siting there quite still. We decided to leave her alone for her business. I was REALLY excited that a bird chose our hose for a place to live. Birds actually build nests when they are about to have babies. Since this built a house, I knew she was a female. She stayed there for weeks and we didn't know if she was eating or not. Soon enough I found out that there was a different bird that was sitting at the nest. I wondered if this bird was the male and the other was a female. Soon enough the female had laid eggs. Weeks went by and finally they had hatched. I would say they were at least 2cm tall. The babies were so cute. Did I mention that there were 2 adorable little babies huddled together in that nest? One day, there was something so amazing to see that we took a video of it. Here is the video down below. The video is about the female feeding her babies. This was caught up close.    Many weeks after that, the two parents flew of because the two were able to take care of themselves now. Even though the parents left our house, the two babies still stayed there. My mom got a small styrofoam bowl and filled it with bird seed for the two to eat. One day in the morning, I found one bird looking down at the other bird who was standing on our doorstep. This is because, the one on our doorstep was actually going to eat the food that we left them while, the other was watching out for him in case of danger comes near. The 2 birds lived with us for a few days then left to venture the world. I guess they were done living with us and grew up.  That is the story of the family of birds. I hope you enjoyed it! Down below, there are two photos of the baby birds who were grown up. Sorry, they may be a little blurry. ๐Ÿ˜…

This Monday there was a solar eclipse happening. There are different types of solar eclipses but, this one was different. In this solar eclipse, the moon was going to block the sun. You couldn't see the solar eclipse by just looking at the sun, you needed special glasses to see it. In Nebraska you could see the full solar eclipse when, the moon blocks the sun completely. You could get the glasses in many places. Kroger, 7 Eleven, Walmart, and many more. Every time we looked, they were all sold out or they didn't have any. Finally, there was a library in Roanoke that would sell them. There you could go outside and see the solar eclipse. We only got to see 75% of the sun get covered in Texas. In the library, there was a huge line to get the glasses. Good thing we came early because, there was a huge line with more than 70 people waiting. The librarians said that they only had 100 glasses so, they told us to share if any adults have children. Since it was only my mom and me, we got one pair of glasses and a pinhole paper. With the paper, you could see the solar eclipse through the pinhole on the ground in the shadows. It would show you the change there was from time to time. We had ordered a special filter for our telescope that would let us see the solar eclipse through it. There was a delay with the shipment that made it come late. The cool part about the solar eclipse was he shadow. This is because, when the sun is shining on the leaves of the trees, it creates a shadow on the ground. Since the solar eclipse was happening, it could be seen on the leaves through the shadows. I thought that was really cool.  This solar eclipse is one of the most amazing solar eclipses that I have seen. If you have also seen a solar eclipse, then you might have also hought that is was cool. Thanks for reading.
Here is the picture of the pinhole
Here are the leaves

This summer I had achieved many things. I have so many things to say that, it can't be written down in 5 paragraphs.   First of all, I have achieved the goal of finishing Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. Second, I got to see Universal Studios and also see Harry Potter world. Third, I was the best big sister to my cousin our trip. Fourth, I helped my mom in her store each week. Fifth, I got 2 lines of India's national song correct. [ That doesn't seem like a big achievement but, it was for me.] Sixth, I finished the entire Percy Jackson series. [ I'm almost done with the books, just need to finish 2 more.]  Seventh, I finished making a lego model of my entire house. From the kitchen to guest bedroom. Lastly eighth, I was able to be in contact with my best friend all summer. Stella.  These are all my achievements this summer.  Here are the things I never got to do. Have a sleepover with Stella, buy a Ravenclaw robe from Harry Potter world, and finally, spend a lot of time with my family. I never got to spend a lot of time with my family this summer mainly because, they had work to do and were busy every second. I really want to go back to school soon because, I miss all my friends and being taught by a teacher who, gives fun activities to try each day. Other kids would want a longer summer, but I don't. I want to have more time in school each year. This is the end of my blog for right now. I had a lot of achievements this summer and, will make many more this year. I really hope my studies are as good as last year's when school starts. Thanks for reading!!!
I just got my results for my S.T.A.A.R. test. Not my third grade one, my fouth grade one. The reason I took this test was because I knew most of fourth grade math than other students. When I heard the results, I was shocked, upset, and was crying a lot. I didn't pass the test. The reason I think I didn't pass was because I didn't study enough. I was just being lazy and did just tried to do everything quickly. I think I could have done better only if I had studied more. I think the test was challenging at the same time a tiny bit easy. This test was the most challenging test I ever took. Only if I had studied harder then I would have been able to pass. I think that it was nice to try out for the test because only 7 kids got to take it from the entire third grade. I feel really lucky to be someone good in math and who is able to take something big and challenging with a few other kids who are like me. I never knew that I was going to get something like this one day but now I know. It turns out that because I go to Kumon, I was able to take this test. Going to Kumon let me get into D.I. and also in G.A.T.E.S. Most kids who have gotten into G.A.T.E.S. or have got a chance to do this test. I feel that G.A.T.E.S. and this test were meant for me to take and join. I love doing math because of the fascinating ways you can come up to an answer and also that each way you come up to an answer has bits of things that you know and don't know. For me, this feels like a puzzle that challenges your mind to see what it knows. I love ๐Ÿ˜ puzzles because it make me think more and like I never did before๐Ÿค”. Anyway, I really think I could have done more studying๐Ÿค” for this test instead of playing and watching T.V. I hope that I can do better in fourth grade than on the test and also than in third grade. I hope I am able to pass it for fifth grade next year!!! Okay, so as itv turns out, I actually did pas!!! Yahoooo!!! I am the only girl and have 5 other boys doing the test as well!
This summer is going to be the best summer ever! Why because, I had my cousin came over to visit America. He has never visited America before. He and his family came Saturday late night which was a very bad time to come. Of course, they were late because their flight was delayed twice. The next morning, we went to the Fort Worth Stockyards. My cousin had a blast there. When we visited the Longhorns, he thought they were going to attack him when he got on their backs. When we got home, we were stinking with sweat all over our bodies. When it was night time, we all needed to scrub ourselves with extra soap because we were really stinky. The next morning, we went shopping in the Southlake town square. Kartik, my cousin, was complaining that he didn't want to go shopping. After we were done, he was happy and had a big smile on his face all the way to the car. That evening, we barbequed marinated chicken, boiled potatoes, and corn. I loved dinner. I love barbeque a lot but, this time was different. We had a family to share it with. The next day was today. Since my parents had to go to work today, I got to stay home with my cousin. First we played pool,  then Minecraft, and now are watching The Lego Movie. The best part about my cousin coming over was when they got my doll new clothes. They are really cute and cool clothes. I really wish I have clothes just like my doll's. Tomorrow, my cousin is leaving to go to New York. They are coming back next week so, it will only be me and my parents in the house instead of, my relatives and us in the house. When they come back, my parents will take me to a surprise somewhere with them because of my  4th grade STAAR test that I took. This test was a big thing for me so, that is why they are taking us somwhere special. Later, we will start traveling all of America!! My cousin will be sooo excited to see America because, he will know all about America!!! I really hope my sumer is the best summer ever!!!!
This is how it all started. Monday morning I was going to start camp. I actually didn't want to go because, last time I went to a camp, I was upset and sad at the same time. Just when we went to the camp, I saw all the kids waiting to be signed in. As I got to my group, I saw a few of my friends at school. We went to our first station, where we created foam rockets. Next we had snack, and went to he next station. There we had to create a castle. After that, we had lunch. Finally we did our last 2 stations. Duck tape billionare, and operation keep out. In duck tape billionare, we had to think of an invention never created before, and make a prototype of it. I had an idea of making a pocket watch necklace, where you press a button and then there is a compass. In operaton keep out, we took apart old things like old phones, DVD players to make an alarm box. Then we went to the gym to talk about the water game we were going to play outside. After that, we played a few indoor games and went back to base camp. Our parents started coming in after that. As the days went by, we had the same routine. In each station, we worked more on our ideas, created new things, and even watched videos about our missions. I finished my prototype on Wednesday and crated an advertisemet. We also finished our alarm boxes on Wendsday. That same day, we descovered a new exoplanet , named it planet Zeus, and made a foam replica of it. We also grew a plant from the dinosaur ages, made a crystal tree which grew actual crystals, and even hatched a fake animal egg. We each observed the 3 and went back to work on our planet. Thursday was our last day. We took home our alarm boxes after sharing the best feature, released our dinosaur plant into the "space forest", we also released our animal into the " ocean", shared our prototypes and took them home, and finally as a challenge, we were supposed to make ways to hold a water balloon. What I mean is that, we need to create something in a way that a water balloon does not pop. My team went 3 rounds. In the first, we used lots of fabric in a box and dropped the box with the balloon in it. We got a better challenge after that. Use 4 DIFFERENT materials so it doesn't pop. We used styrafoam, bubble rap, the carboard box, and a 2 different pieces of fabric. It DOES count if you have 2 of the same thing. We did the samething as the last one. Drop the bow with the balloon. We got a better challenge. We had to use ONLY CARBOARD. We shread the carboard into pieces that were really thin and put them in the box. We dropped the balloon in the box instead of the way we did last time. All 3 times, the balloon DID NOT POP!!!!!!!!!!!! No one had done this challenge before and we beat it!!!! Anyway, I know I said I didn't like camp, I really liked this one. I really want to go gain next time. This was REALLY fun!!!!!
Today is  Thursday June 8, 2017. Yesterday, June 7, I had a 4th grade S.T.A.A.R test. You might be asking, why take a STAAR test in the summer when you already took one in the school year. Here is my answer. : When there was only a few days left in the school. I was going to take a 4th grade STAAR in the summer. Why? This is because I was told that my brain was made for math. I didn't need much help in 3rd grade for math like others did. So with that said, I started studying. I gave the rest of the school year AND some of my summer just for this test. I worked at least 400 hours to take a 72 question test in 3 hours. All that studying really payed off! If I pass this test then, I get to skip all 4th grade math and do 5th grade math instead. If this happens then I will do middle school math in fith grade and high school math in middle school. After that, I do colledge math in high school. If I don't, then none of this will happen. There are 8 3rd grade classes. There are 22 students in each class. That means, out of 176 kids in 3rd gade, only 7 get to take the test. There is a possibility that I might pass and the others won't. When that happens, I might be the only student who does 5th grade math. Again, there may not. I hope I pass. My parents said as a promise scince i worked really hard, they will take me for a suprise somewhere! With my cousin because, he will be staying over. Whatever it is, I can't wait. I hope I pass!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Scince today is May 5th, today was Cinco De Myo. We had a pretty short day today because of our ST.A.A.R. test next week. What is S.T.A.A.R.? S.T.A.A.R. is a type of test that tests your knowledge about a grade level. We had our benchmark, a before S.T.A.A.R.  test, in March. The test time is 4 hours long. We are going to have our math one first then our reading. Before we ever have our test, our teachers review strategies that we were taught to help us on the test. I am really nervous/scared because this is something REALLY big and it means A LOT to me. Besides the test review, we had our going for gold raffle. Going for gold is a small reading olympics that helps us prepare for the test. Today before the raffle, my language arts teacger Mrs. Bell called the top 5 readers on EPIC. What is EPIC? EPIC is a website that you can log onto and be free to read as many books as you want. I have a home and school acount so I can read more books and have a bigger advantage than the other kids. My friend named Sofia won first with 39 hours read, second was my friend Loseli with 19, third was my friend Ruby with 16, fourth was my friend Colbie with 13 and I had 9 in 5th. If they were counting home and school acount, then I would have been in second, with 22 because I had 13 at home, and 9 at school. We all got to choose a free prize and we all chose sunglasses and, a picture taken with them. I also won a prize in the raffle and I got another pair of sunglasses for my cousin who was coming to Texas soon. That was my awesome day!!!!!!!๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜‡ I am really nervous for the test but, I can do it!๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜“๐Ÿ˜“๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜€
What is a tornado? A tornado is a violent rotating column of air extending from a thunderstorm to the ground. Most violent tornadoes are capable of tremendous destruction with, wind speeds of up to 300mph. Tornadoes destroy buildings, uproot trees, hurl vehicles hundreds of yards, and also drive straw into trees. Tornadoes can damage paths in excess of 1 mile wide to 50 miles wide.In an average year, 1000 tornadoes are reported. They appear as a traditional funnel shape or in a slender rope-like form. Some have a churning smokey look while others contain "multiple vortices",small individual rotating around a common center. Some are nearly invisible, you can only see swirling dust or debris at ground levels. Funnel clouds start rotating cone-shape Lou new of air extending downward from the bas of thunderstorms. They usually don't touch the ground. When it reaches the ground then it is called a tornado. Tornado researchers still do not fully understand how tornadoes die, form, and also grow. They are still trying to solve the tornado puzzle. Every piece that seem to fit uncovers new pieces that need to be studied.

What are other types of tornadoes?

Waterspouts are weak tornadoes which form over water, most common along the GulfCoast. Waterspouts sometimes move inland, becoming tornadoes cause damage and injuries.

Real life tornado incidents:

Yesterday in my neighbor hood at 2:35 a.m., we got a tornado warning. There was a tornado siren right next to us so that, we could be warned. Eventually there was no tornado. I was really glad when I found out. Instead there was a REALLY big storm throughout the night. No one was hurt or injured for the rest of the night.

Safety Tips:

  • Tornadoes occur at any time
  • No terrain is safe from a tornado
  • Never open windows in weather situations
  • Have a disaster plan
  • Make sure everyone knows where to go in case of a tornado

Fashion magazines are magazines that involve fashion, beauty, and clothing. I think that fashion magazines have a few problems. 1 They give their models terrible looks, 2 the clothes look terrible no matter how beautiful  they try to make it, and finally 3, the posing from their models look terrible!  Though they have terrible things in their magazines/ the models,  thy have excellent beauty products. They mix beauty products together to make 1 big thing! Their newest feature is something you can use to beautify your eyebrows that is double ended. They have a lash on 1 end and a brush on the other. My opinion on fashion magazines is if I like them or not. I hate fashion magazines! I see fashion magazines as little hypnotizing glamour books which try to, hypnotize you to buy things from that company. This is my opinion only.  I like the ideas that they have but I think they make too much makeup in the world. They should try to make more things for kids. For example let's take clothing. If you have ever been to JcPenny you can see that there are wonderful types of clothing for kids there. But they don't advertise that, they advertise the women's stuff. They have amazing clothing for kids when they don't advertise it! I never saw how much I liked the JcPenny clothes for kids until,I went there. I never knew that there was great clothing there until I went there. Women always know what they want at fashion stores but, kids don't. They should make a fashion magazine for kids if they have clothing for kids. Even if they don't have much they should just do it! They might get lots of customers asking for kids clothing. Well that is just my opinion about fashion magazines. Others may like it or may not.
